While none of these species are listed with US or State agencies, your oak will be ethically gathered from native Quercus species on our privately owned conservation areas atop the Lake Wales Ridge in Central Florida USA.

Your exact installation location will be marked with high-precision GNSS, and caged to prevent your acorn or seedling from being taken by wildlife (predation).

The stock your site will receive might be seed, root-stock, transplanting, or out-planting, or any combination of the above based on availability and probable success for your site. While this approach may require more time, you will get the best possible genetics and your site will gain one or more thriving trees or shrubs. Knowing these are not cuttings, knowing that these will not have resulted from some hormonal experiment meant to increase profits, ensures your precious site will grow only the highest quality native oaks. These type of installations always prove superior in the long-term. And while we have a very high installation success rate, we are not afraid to try again should the first attempt fail. In this way it is like a guarantee, even though obviously Mother Nature does not offer these with any purchase.

Your site’s land manager or yourself must agree to do some minimal maintenance to ensure success of the installation, such as regular watering, as prescribed by a Florida ecologist.

Quercus installations from the above listed species are available for installation anywhere on the Lake Wales Ridge, and are based on vouchered herbarium specimens for Polk and Highlands counties, Florida USA in the USF Atlas of Vascular Plants.
